Philosophy

We go where others don't.

Modern travel is broken. Hill stations are crowded. Mountain villages sit empty. Luxury has become predictable, urbanised, indistinguishable from one resort to the next.

We think the new luxury is something quieter - privacy, silence, and access to landscapes that haven't been flattened by tourism.

Elsewhere by Juniper is a collection of private, design-forward camps across the less-travelled folds of the Indian Himalaya. Each site is temporary by design - built with low-impact materials, run by local teams, and taken away when the season turns.

We don't sell rooms. We curate access - to a riverbend in Uttarakhand, a meadow above the treeline in Himachal, a stretch of high desert in Ladakh, a cloud forest in the Eastern Himalaya. The infrastructure is invisible. The land does the work.

Privacy

Small camps. Often a single party at a time. Always your own tent, your own table, your own pace.

Comfort

Premium bedding. Private toilets. Real food, served well. Disconnection without deprivation.

Lightness

Temporary structures. Local sourcing. We leave the land the way we found it - quiet.
