Saru Tal
A high-altitude lake located at 4200 m in West Garhwal, Saru Tal is a place of annual pilgrimage for locals in the region. The Saru Tal trek route is predominately a ridge walk over long meadow stretches, and offers enchanting views of the peaks of Gangotri at a distance, as well as Swargarohini, Kala Nag and Banderpoonch in close proximity. The local folk refer to Saru Tal as the fifth Dham alongside Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri. The trek starts from Sankri, and the trail sees a climb over the peak of Kedar Kanta (3800 m), a well-known peak in the region. Come make the most of this snow-clad Himalayan adventure!
